CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality)

Administered by HQCC, the CPHQ is the broadest healthcare quality certification. It covers all aspects of quality management: performance improvement, patient safety, data analytics, regulatory compliance, and more. It is appropriate for professionals across all healthcare settings.

CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety)

The CPPS focuses specifically on patient safety. If your role is primarily in patient safety or risk management, the CPPS may be more directly relevant. However, the CPHQ also covers patient safety as one of its seven domains, making it a more versatile credential.

CJCP (Certified Joint Commission Professional)

The CJCP demonstrates expertise in Joint Commission standards and accreditation. It is highly specialized and most valuable for survey coordinators and accreditation managers. The CPHQ covers regulatory and accreditation topics more broadly.
